Today Airbus and Boeing dominate the Worlds airliner production, the biggest airliner in production for many decades has been the "Jumbo" Boeing 747 series but now the new Airbus A380, due to enter service in 2007 is even bigger and is already referred to as the "Superjumbo". The Airbus A340 is powered by four engines and is a twin aisle aircraft seating 261-440 passengers. The Airbus A340 first flew on the 25th October 1991 and is the longest airliner currently in commercial service. Information about Virgin Atlantic Airways Virgin Atlantic Airways was formed by Richard Branson in 1984, Virgin Atlantic provides long haul fights from London's Heathrow and Gatwick airport's and Manchester airport to various Worldwide destinations.
