The Boeing 737 first flew 9th of April 1967 and continued in production for thirteen years with little change until the introduction of the 300 series aircraft. The Boeing 737-800 series airliners are powered by twin CFM56-7 turbofan engines and is a stretched 737-900, they first entered service in 1998.
