Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of airliners with only Airbus as significant or major competitor. The Boeing 747-400 series "Jumbo-Jet" entered service in February 1989, a freighter version four years later, it is the only 747 series still in production although Boeing intends to introduce a new stretched version, the "747-8 Intercontinental". Information about 9M-MPJ Malaysia Airlines Boeing 747-4H6 Malaysia Airlines began operating on May the 1st 1947 as Malayan Airways, changing it's name to Malaysian Airways in November 1963, in October 1987 the airlines name was changed to Malaysia Airlines and became the national airline of Malaysia, operating scheduled services worldwide and is one of only a few airlines to be given a 5-star rating by Skytrax.
