D-ABXL Lufthansa Boeing 737-330Information about the Boeing 737-330 Boeing was formed by William E. Boeing on the 15th of July 1916 as the “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” in 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of airliners with only Airbus remaining a significant major competitor. The Boeing 737 airliner first flew 9th of April 1967 and continued in production for thirteen years with very little change until the introduction of the 300 series airliners powered by twin CFM56-3 turbofan engines and modernised avionics combined with better aerodynamics, it first entered service during 1980. Information about Lufthansa Deutsche Lufthansa AG was formed during 1926 as Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft following the merger of "Junkers Luftverkehr" and "Deutsche Aero Lloyd". By the outbreak of WW11 Lufthansa had become one of the world's largest airlines. During WW11 services were severely curtailed and totally ceased from 1945 to 1953 following Germany's defeat. Today Lufthansa, following the merger with the Swiss airline SWISS in October 2005, is a major international airline Lufthansa currently operates a mixed fleet of Boeing and Airbus airliners and has ordered 15 Airbus A380 "Superjumbo" airliners.
