Information about the Boeing 737-530

Boeing was incorporated in Washington by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of airliners with only Airbus as significant or major competitor.

The Boeing 737 airliner first flew 9th of April 1967 and continued in production for thirteen years with little change until the introduction of the 300 series aircraft. The Boeing 737-500 series is powered by twin CFM56-3 turbofan engines and is efectivly a shortened 737-300.

Information about Lufthansa

Deutsche Lufthansa AG was created in Berlin during 1926 as the Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft following the merger of "Junkers Luftverkehr" and "Deutsche Aero Lloyd". By the outbreak of WW11 Lufthansa had become one of the world's largest airlines. During WW11 services were curtailed and totally ceased from 1945 to 1953 following Germany's defeat.

Today Lufthansa having merged with the Swiss airline SWISS in October 2005, is a major international airline Lufthansa currently operates a mixed fleet of Boeing and Airbus airliners and has ordered 15 Airbus A380 "Superjumbo" airliners.
