Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of airliners with only Airbus as significant or major competitor. The Boeing 757 entered service in 1983 replacing the older Boeing 727 range of airliners. A total of 1,050 of these airliners had been produced when production finally ceased in 2005. The Boeing 757-200 series can carry between 228 and 234 passengers and is the most popular variant of the Boeing 757 airliner. Information about Icelandair Icelandair is Iceland's largest airline, it was formed in 1973 when the airlines Flugfélag Íslands and Loftleiðir merged and decided to use a new English name "Icelandair".
