Airbus Industrie was formed as a consortium of European aviation during 1967 when the British, French and German governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the first Airbus airliner the Airbus A300. Today Airbus and Boeing dominate the Worlds airliner production. The Airbus A321 is a twin engine, single aisle plane, based on the A320, but lengthened by 6.94m allowing a seating capacity of 220 passengers, the Airbus A321 first flew on the 11th of March 1993.
