A40-kd Gulf Air Airbus A330-243Information about the Air Airbus A330-243 Airbus Industrie began as a consortium of European aviation firms in 1967 when British, French and German governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the first Airbus airliner the Airbus A300. The Airbus A330 airliner is a twin engined, twin aisle airliner with seating capacity for 220 passengers, the A330 first flew on the 2nd November 1992. Information about Gulf Air Gulf Air was formed by the British pilot Freddie Bosworth as Gulf Aviation in 1950, unfortunately Freddie was killed in June 1951 in an accident at London's Croydon Airport while demonstrating a de Havilland Dove, an airliner type which he had intended to operate with Gulf Aviation, following his death BOAC acquired a major holding in the airline. Under the Foundation Treaty signed on the 1st of January 1974 the airline became Gulf Air and the national carrier of the four Gulf States.
