Boeing on 15th of July 1916 in Washington, as “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. Today Boeing is the Worlds largest airliner manufacturer with only Europe's Airbus being a significant and major competitor. Boeing 767 was launched in 1978 primarily as a replacement for the successful but aging Boeing 707, it's almost a wide-body jet variant of the Boeing 757 airliner which was introduced at the same time. The Boeing 767-300/ER series are a lengthened 200 series 767 passenger aircraft combined with an "extended-range" capability of 11,305 km, they were first introduced into service during 1988. Information about British Airways - BA British Airways was initially Founded as "Imperial Airways" during 1924 following the merger of Instone, Handley Page, Daimler Airways and British Air Marine Navigation. In 1939 the British government decided to nationalise Imperial Airways and British Airways and named the resultant company British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC). BOAC and BEA were combined during 1972 to create British Airways, it was to be the UK's new national airline, in 1987 British Airways was privatised. In 1988 BA acquired British Caledonian, in 1992 it acquired Dan-Air making it the second largest airline within Europe. BA operates a mixed fleet of mainly Airbus and Boeing airliners.
