Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A., normally abbreviated to "Embraer", is a company created by the Brazilian Ministry of Aeronautics during July 1969, it's first production aircraft was delivered during 1973. The Embraer EMB-145 made it's maiden flight during December 1996, the Embraer EMB-145EP is basically the same as the EMB-145 but with greater fuel capacity to increase range and a 1000kg greater maximum takeoff weight (20,990kg).
