Bhe Airbus A319 is a twin engine, single aisle airliner based on the A320 but shortened by 3.77m, it can seat from 200 to 280 passengers, the Airbus A319 first flew on the 25th of August 1995. Information about BMI British Midland BMI was founded in 1938 as "Air Schools Ltd", during 1964, it changed its name to British Midland Airways (BMA) and in February 2001 British Midland Airways joined the Star Alliance and re-named it's self bmi british midland following a 30% acquisition of the company by Lufthansa.
