JA-8096 All Nippon Airways Boeing 747-481Information about the Boeing 747-481 The Boeing 747 or "Jumbo Jet" first entered service in 1970 as the 747-100 series, the 747 series were the largest airliners flying and in production for thirty seven years until the advent of the Airbus A380 in 2007. The Boeing 747-400 series Jumbo Jet entered service in February 1989, a freighter version four years later, it is the only 747 series airliner still in production. Information about All Nippon Airways Founded in 1952 as Nippon Helicopter and Aeroplane, changing it's name to All Nippon Airways (ANA) at the end of 1957. It is interesting to note that a ANA 747 was the first airliner to fly in to the USA following the grounding of all airliners after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
