VT-EVA Air India Boeing 747-437Information about the Boeing 747-437 Boeing was incorporated in Washington by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. The Boeing 747 or "Jumbo Jet" first entered service in 1970, the 747 series remained the largest airliners flying and in production for thirty seven years until the advent of the Airbus A380 in 2007. The Boeing 747-400 series entered service in February 1989, a freighter version four years later, it is the only 747 series still in production although Boeing intends to introduce a new stretched version, the "747-8 Intercontinental". Information about Air India Air India was Founded in 1932 and was nationalized in 1953 becoming India's national airline. It is of note that Air India became the world's first all-jet airline in 1962 and currently operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing airliners but plans to become an all Boeing fleet in the near future although it is still considering the Airbus A380 as an exception.
