F-GRXM Air France Airbus A319-115Information about the Airbus A319-115 Airbus Industrie started as a consortium of European aviation companies during 1967 when the British, French and German governments signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding to develop the first Airbus airliner - the Airbus A300. Today Airbus and Boeing dominate the Worlds airliner production, the largest airliner in production for many decades has been the "Jumbo" 747 series airliner but now the Airbus A380, due to enter commercial service in 2007 is even bigger and is already referred to as the "Superjumbo". The Airbus A319 is a twin engine, single aisle aircraft based on the A320 but shortened by 3.77 m, it can seat between 200 and 280 passengers, the The Airbus A319 first flew on the 25th of August 1995. Information about Air France Air France was created during October 1933 and was nationalized in 1946 becoming the national airline of France, in February 1999 Air France was privatised and in September 2003 merged with KLM forming the Air France-KLM Group becoming one of the largest airlines in the world. Unfortunately Air France is probably best known for the world's most notorious air-crash when Air France Concorde Flight 4590 crashed in Gonesse, France, on the 25th of July 2000 after having it's tyres ruptured on take-off by a piece of a titanium thrust reverser fallen from a Continental Airlines DC-10 just a few minutes earlier.
