Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of airliners with only Airbus as significant or major competitor. Boeing 767 was launched in 1978 primarily as a replacement for the successful but aging Boeing 707, it's almost a wide-body jet variant of the Boeing 757 airliner which was introduced about the same time. The Boeing 767-300/ER series are a lengthened 200 series 767 combined with an "extended-range" of 11,305 km, they were introduced into service during 1988. Information about Air Canada Air Canada was founded in 1937 as Canada's national airline and was privatised in 1989. Air Canada was founding member of the worlds largest airline alliance "Star Alliance" formed in 1997. Air Canada operates a mixed fleet of Airbus, Boeing and Embraer airliners.
